Length: 5 days (6 Jan 2020 – 10 Jan 2020) ; 10:00am to 5:30pm
Overview:
Workshop was focused on complete end-to-end procedure for conducting basic linear static structural analyses and how to apply it to the solution of engineering analysis problems. Just as importantly, faculties learnt several techniques to improve the efficiency of their solutions and the fidelity of results. Participants also got a firm foundation for studying many advanced analysis techniques in ANSYS Mechanical.
Learning Outcome:
- To Carry out the basic end-to-end static structural analysis process in ANSYS Mechanical.
- To Describe several of the considerations that are important in the planning of a useful and appropriate analysis model.
- To Demonstrate a basic understanding of viewing control, entity selection, geometry import, material property definition and assignment, coordinate systems, mesh control, contact regions, simple loads, supports and results display.
- To Appreciate the importance of model validation & several common techniques that may be used to achieve it.
Target Audience:
Mechanical Engineering Department Faculties, ADCET, Asta, Sangli
Teaching Method:
A major emphasis was placed on teaching by software demonstration and on the development of a solution to a design challenge from start to finish. The goal was to give participants the knowledge and experience they’ll need to confidently apply what they’ve learned to their own design challenges.
